Throughout the Summer months, we donate funds to Beyond Blue: an independent, non-for-profit organisation working with the community to improve mental health and prevent suicide, so that all people in Australia can achieve their best possible mental health.
In Australia, around 1 in 2 people will struggle with their mental health during their lifetime. It’s no surprise anxiety, depression or suicide has touched the lives of so many people. Even if you may not have experienced any of these personally, it’s highly likely you know someone who has.
We chose Beyond Blue as our Summer donations recipient as we know all too well that the festive season isn’t equally festive for all. For some, it can be a really difficult time of year. We thought it was a good time to shine a light on mental health. Take this as your friendly reminder to reach out, check in on your mates & family members and look out for each other during the holidays.

As Australia’s most well-known and visited mental health organisation, Beyond Blue focuses on supporting people affected by anxiety, depression and suicide. They’ve been providing support & services to people in Australia for over 20 years!
Did you know: 1 in 4 Australians experience anxiety, with depression affecting 1 in 7. An estimated 21.5% had experienced a mental disorder at some time in their life and had sufficient symptoms in the 12 months. That’s around 4.3 million people. On top of that, 1 in 6 Aussies will have thoughts of suicide at some point during their lives.
Thankfully, support-seeking appears to be growing at a rapid rate, with around half of all people now getting treatment. On top of being a wealth of online information & resources, Beyond Blue also offer support through phone & text chat services and online forums. Every donation helps them continue to improve the lives of people affected by anxiety, depression, and suicide in Australia.
