During the Autumn months, we raised funds for Givit Australia: in support of people affected by the devastating floods in NSW & QLD.

Earlier this year, after days of heavy rainfall, tens of thousands of homes were flooded, causing billions of dollars of property damage. Many people were displaced & sadly, 22 people lost their lives. We choose to support Givit to ensure 100% of the funds we raised would go directly into the hands of the people who needed it most & to help those communities get back on their feet.

We’re extremely proud to announce we’ve raised a total of $4816.95!

$2141.95 through our Eco Warrior Community Initiatives Fund + an additional $2675 as part of the machine auction.

The biggest thank you goes to our supporters & cafe partners, we absolutely couldn’t do it without you! We appreciate every single person who bought some Eco Warrior beans or merch over the past few months! Or those who added a personal donation to the cart at checkout. The EWCIF wouldn’t be possible without all of the legends who get behind it – we are extremely grateful to you all!

about givit australia.

Givit is a great way to give to people & communitier recovering from an emergency of disaster. Donations made via Givit provide critical and immediate support. And they’re there for the long run, supporting people as they re-establish homes and as communities recover.

They partner with state and local governments and work really hard to find out exactly what affected people and communities need. Those needs are then listed on their platform here, trusting that local councils, charities, recovery agencies and community groups know what their community needs. From clean bottled water, blankets and mattresses to food and fuel vouchers for people who can’t return home.

Givit work directly with support organisations that have been through their registration process to ensure they’re respected and genuinely helping the community recover. The organisations can then request donations on behalf of the vulnerable people they’re assisting.

They aim to make sure people devastated by disaster get exactly what they need to recover, where and when they need it. And make it really easy for us to have the greatest possible impact through our donations!

help us to give back.

This Winter, we’re contributing to StreetSmart Australia: a non-profit organisation supporting the vulnerable people in Australia who are currently experiencing homelessness. You can read more about this on the blog here.

Want to know how you can contribute? We donate 5% of sales from our Eco Warrior organic blend, along with our tees & tote bags! Look out for the EWCIF logo on all included product lines.

You can also add personal donations from as little as $1 to your cart at the checkout. As they say, it’s the little things that add up to make a big difference!
