this spring, we teamed up with the climate council. as people & as a business, we care deeply about the environment & we believe now is the time to act!

the results of the IPCC report couldn’t have been clearer: we either dramatically reduce global greenhouse gas emissions this decade or face catastrophic climate impacts.

as with most things, education is the first step to getting more people involved & pushing our politicians for climate change action – that’s why we chose to back the climate council last quarter.

we’re proud to announce we were able to contribute a total of $698.20 through our eco warrior community initiatives fund!

about the climate council.

they are Australia’s leading climate change communications organisation, providing expert climate change information to politicians, decision-makers, journalists & the wider community. their mission is to keep climate change on the media & political agenda every day.

the climate council is made up of some of the country’s leading climate scientists, health, renewable energy & policy experts, along with a huge community of volunteers & supporters. as an independent, community-funded organisation, they rely on donations to fund critical research, campaigns & projects.

decisions about climate change action should be based on science – these guys make sure all Australians can be armed with the facts & help drive important conversations.

a massive thank you to our supporters, we absolutely couldn’t do it without you! we appreciate every single person who bought some eco warrior beans or merch over the past few months! or those who added a donation to their cart at the checkout. the ewcif wouldn’t be possible without all of our wonderful customers who get behind it, so thank you!

if you’d like to do even more, you can help the climate council push for urgent climate action this decade by signing the petition!

and if this is a topic you care about too, we highly recommend subscribing to their newsletter & following them on insta for the most up-to-date info, tips on reducing your own emissions & other ways you can make an impact.

help us to give back.

this summer, we’re proud to be partnering with Beyond Blue: Australia’s most well-known and visited mental health organisation, focused on supporting people affected by anxiety, depression and suicide. you can read more about this on the blog here.

want to know how you can contribute? we donate 5% of sales from our eco warrior organic blend, as well as our awesome new eco warrior tees & tote bags! look out for the ewcif logo on all included product lines.

we’ve also added a handy popup to the checkout. you can now add personal donations from as little as $1 to your cart. as they say, it’s the little things that add up to make a big difference!

with gratitude, team locale
