SEE WHAT WE DID THERE?

this is one of our fave summertime cocktails, perfect for the festive season! what better way to share a drink with friends & get your caffeine fix at the same time?

we recommend using a strong cold brew (ratio 120g:1L water). we found it also works really well with a chilled filter (check out our pourover guide here) we used a ratio of 1:12 instead.

YOU’LL NEED:

~ 30ml of your fave gin (we used Roku Japanese Gin)

~ 60ml cold brew or chilled filter (our natural PNG worked perfectly).

~ 15ml simple sugar syrup

~ orange slices to garnish

~ stirrer or spoon

~ fancy glass

~ shot glass or measure

~ ice

step one.

ADD ICE & GIN

grab your glass, start with the ice – we used one large cube for effect. add 30ml of your gin of choice (a shot glass measure).

step two.

ADD YOUR COLD BREW

add around 60ml – or two shot glass measures – of cold brew or chilled filter (see above for the ratios we recommend).

step three.

ADD SUGAR SYRUP

next add around 15ml of simple sugar syrup. if you don’t have any handy you can make your own using a 1:1 ratio of sugar to water.

step four.

GENTLY STIR

we recommend giving it a gentle stir to make sure your ingredients are mixed in but it doesn’t need much.

step five.

GARNISH WITH ORANGE

add a slice of orange, not just for looks! give it a little squeeze to add a nice hint of citrus to the drink.

step six.

SERVE & ENJOY

we think this one’s best enjoyed in the company of friends or family on a warm summer’s day, but it’s your call!

HANDY HINTS:

~ if you find this is a bit too strong, top with soda water to turn it into a spritz!

~ we recommend using a fruity style coffee – our PNG natural worked perfectly in this recipe.
