san antonio: el salvador

tastes like peach, vanilla & passionfruit

about me

our latest espresso single origin comes from finca san antonio in El Salvador. with a delicate acidity, this coffee is sweet & creamy, reminiscent of fresh peaches & cream.

Johny Lemus owns san antonio, where he grows pacas variety coffee & processes his lots both as naturals & washed. Chalatenango isn’t as well-known for coffee production, but Café Imports senior green-coffee buyer Piero Cristiani has spent years developing relationships with the smallholder farmers there in order to source some of the best, most dynamic coffees they’ve tasted.

these super-small lots are bagged in smaller increments of 35kg (affectionately called “pequeños”) but don’t let their size fool you! these are exquisite coffees grown by committed, passionate farmers, many of whom are seeing specialty prices for their lots for the first time in the area’s history.
