asegedech sholi: ethiopia
tastes like strawberry, pineapple & coconut
about me
this natural Ethiopian from Asegedech Sholi is a sweet and bold fruit bomb that hits like a handful of party mix lollies!
we love Ethiopian naturals & this one is the fruit bomb dreams are made of. just outside of Banko Tatatu, Gedeb, you’ll find the washing station operated by Asegedech Sholi. the majority of coffees grown in Gedeb are local landrace varieties (aka Ethiopian heirloom). profile-wise, these coffees are known siblings to those in Yirgacheffe.
grown as part of an integrated ‘coffee garden’, the coffees are typically considered organic as farmers use very few, if any, fertilisers or pesticides. the coffee is hand-picked by the landowners and their family who sell their ripe cherries to the washing station for processing.
