Throughout Summer, we raised funds for Beyond Blue: an independent, non-for-profit organisation providing information and support to help everyone in Australia achieve their best possible mental health.
With 3 million Aussies living with anxiety or depression, it’s no surprise it’s something that’s touched the lives of so many people. Even if you may not have experienced it personally, it’s likely you know someone who has. It hits hard for us too, just one of the many reasons we were inspired to support Beyond Blue last quarter.
We’re extremely proud to announce we were able to donate a total of $1704.90 through our eco warrior community initiatives fund!
The biggest thank you goes to our supporters & cafe partners, we absolutely couldn’t do it without you! We appreciate every single person who bought some Eco Warrior beans or merch over the past few months! Or those who added a personal donation to the cart at checkout. As Australia’s most well-known and visited mental health organisation, Beyond Blue focuses on supporting people affected by anxiety, depression and suicide. They’ve been providing support & services to people in Australia for over 20 years!
Did you know: one in six Australians is currently experiencing depression or anxiety or both. 17.0% of Australians aged 16 to 85 have experienced an anxiety and/or affective disorder in the past 12 months. That’s around 3.2 million people today! On top of that, one in 8 Aussies will consider suicide at some point in their lives.
Thankfully, seeking support also appears to be growing at a rapid rate, with around half of all people with a condition now getting treatment. On top of being a wealth of online information & resources, Beyond Blue also offer support through phone & text chat services and online forums. Every donation helps them continue to improve the lives of people affected by anxiety, depression, and suicide in Australia.
